Better than new

My MocToe Redwings needed a resole as the original Traction Treds had worn down after only 3 years and become pretty useless when it was wet or I was off-road. 
The Original Cobblers website suggested the Treds could be replaced with a more hardy Vibrum Lug sole which looked more like a walking boot sole. But I was concerned that it was just too high/deep and would look a bit odd on the MocToe, like a platform boot! So I emailed to ask for some advice on an alternative sole.  Martin, one of the founders, responded and suggested the Vibram 1136 sole which is a few mm less high/deep, but the same design and made for grip when conditions need it. It also looked like it would last much longer than the Traction Treds. 
3 weeks later they arrived, and they look amazing. The sole is perfect. The finish is soooo good - they look like new. In fact they are better than new as they have the perfect sole now.
