Write- off Guccis

Sent a pair of cherished Gucci 1953 loafers off to Original Cobblers with a split upper. This was after the Gucci factory declined to repair them on the grounds that it would be ‘economically unviable’.
The shoes were returned to me in pristine condition with a repair that has restored their structural integrity and which is almost invisible. I understand the work was hand sewn too. All this including postage for a mere £45. Needless to say, i am delighted.
